I’m Liuliu Zhang. I studied Western percussion and play drum kit, handpan and marimba. As a music intervention practitioner for children with special needs, I have focused on early percussion education for children aged two and up for eight years.
I love dancing, singing and the energy of life. Every flower has its own season: let it move freely, and give it time to bloom.
Early music begins with listening and play. We listen, clap, take turns and play together. Activities adapt to each child’s interests and participation.
Adults and teens can start drums from zero. Watch, imitate, practise hands and feet separately, bring them together, then play along with music you enjoy.
Technique, notation, grooves, coordination, fills and songs progress with the learner. Lesson notes keep the day’s practice clear.

HOW WE LEARN
When coordination gets tricky, practise hands and feet separately. Start slowly, then combine them.
Take the rhythm into a song. Hold the beat, then explore changes, transitions and fills.
For young children, begin with listening, clapping and play. Take turns and play together at their own pace.
